Hi guys!
Welcome back to my blog, I can't believe it has been 2 months, the time has gone so quickly!
I haven't been as active recently, I have been posting more on my Instagram - chloesxxblog, feel free to go check out my recent activity there.
For this blog, I have decided to choose the topic of fulfillment.
"Achievement of something desired, promised or predicted."
I have recently been doing a lot of reflecting on my own life and my own goals. I do this from time to time, I spend a lot of time alone sitting down with a notebook to scribble down every thought and feeling, this is what usually gives me the inspiration for another blog.
I have put together 10 things that help me to fulfill my life, I try to do these every day.
1. Visualise your happiness:
I love to close my eyes in a quiet room and visualise my success. It sounds so silly but I like to think of it as a daydream. Picture yourself getting that car or getting that job and don't stop working until you achieve it! I like to picture myself with the things I really want to achieve in life. Sometimes I do it by sitting in a dark room and picturing it or do some silly cartoon drawings. Visualising what you want will help inspire and motivate you to keep working at it.
2. Letting go of the past:
As little mix sang 'sometimes it works out but sometimes it don't'. Sometimes you have to learn lessons in life that help you to shape the future. Too many times I have put myself and my feelings last to help others, bent over backward lending money, putting all of my time and effort into people who have turned around and stabbed me in the back. My nana used to always say "God doesn't pay debts with money" and my god she was right. Karma is a funny thing, it always comes back in one way or another. Forget those who hurt you but NEVER forget what it taught you.
3. Work on yourself and ALWAYS celebrate your achievements:
Whether that is making a skin routine including face masks and cucumbers or hitting the gym, working on yourself will be the best investment you could ever make. I love to go to the gym. I think If you're feeling hurt make sure you're feeling it with every muscle you have, you will be surprised how much this will change you and your outlook on life. Learn to like the person standing there in the mirror, I have never liked myself but by going to the gym and taking care of my diet I am really starting to lose weight and believe in myself again, it is an unexplainable feeling. I love to celebrate my achievements. Sometimes I buy myself a little something or get my nails done. Always celebrate every achievement no matter how big or small.
4. Take charge of your own happiness by prioritising:
Prioritise your time and the people you spend your time with. This is so important because life is too short, give people your time who give you theirs and stay away from those who don't.
Who has checked up on you today? If they haven't then they aren't worth it, people ALWAYS make time for those they love and care about. Never lose yourself trying to help someone else.
5. Do your work in silence:
People will talk about you no matter what, whether you post once a day, a week, a month, or year. Social media has grown in the past 10 years and we spend too much time glued to social media. We use it for everything, from googling venues to posting selfies and moments in our lives. I have really started to hate the way social media is, it damages you in so many ways. A few months ago I would look at celebrities and feel like I needed to be like them or use products they were advertising and in reality, I just needed to do me. I am so much happier. I post what I want people to see and if they don't like that then they can hit the unfollow button.
In the past 7 years of boxing, I have been judged for choosing the sport being a female, I was judged for having time off due to an injury and I was judged for putting my health first.
I have never tried to fit in and I never will. An original is always worth more than a copy.
6. Affirmations:
I love a good affirmation, before bed I like to read out affirmations as they set me up for a good night's sleep. If you constantly tell yourself something you will eventually attract it and believe it. I find it an amazing tool for self love and self acceptance. a few of my favourites are:
- My body is healthy; mу mind іѕ brilliant; my soul is tranquil.
- I believe I can do anything
- Everything that is happening now is happening for my ultimate good.
- I forgive those who have harmed me in my past and peacefully detach from them.
- My ability to conquer challenges is limitless; my potential to succeed is infinite.
7. Sleep:
This is a bit of an obvious one but the more sleep you get, the happier you are.
Sleep is SO important, it is often put on the back burner when we are busy or stressed but getting a good night's sleep helps the mind and body in numerous ways, including weight loss!
8. Walking & exercise:
Walking is another underestimated activity, when you walk you don't see it as exercise because we do it without thinking but walking is so good for your body too.
It increases your heart and lung fitness. Reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke. Improves the management of conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes. It also helps with stronger bones and improved balance.
9. Surround yourself with positivity:
This is so important, your environment and people. Have friends who support you and check in with you, friends who celebrate your achievements and help you in times of need.
10. A good work/home balance:
Things pop up in life and sometimes your home life requires your time, sometimes work is busy and you need to put more time into that. Balancing home and work is so important as if you put too much of your time into work you cannot relax and switch off. Making sure you relax on days off and put yourself first helps with your mental health and ability to balance it all.
These are the 10 things I do every day to help live my life to the fullest, it is so important to me and I always reflect on each day and always find a positive no matter how hard a day may have been.
I hope this blog has given you some ideas on how to fulfill your life.
Always remember it gets better, no matter how hard. Stop chasing and start attracting.
