🐚Life goes on...🌊

Updated: Nov 21, 2025

Reflection has a way of reminding us of the real blessings in life, doesn’t it?

So for today’s blog, I’m sharing a little piece of my life… again.

Lately, it’s truly hit me: we only get one life. One chance to become the best version of ourselves. You will never be as young as you are right now, and nothing is more valuable than time.

You might get married three times, but if that third person is the one who lifts you up and stands by you through everything, why waste energy dwelling on the first two? You don’t have time for that.

In trying to help others, we sometimes lose sight of ourselves. I’ve always been told to put myself first, yet I’ve rarely managed to do it. When I look back, I can see all the moments where I didn’t choose myself—the times I gave up things I loved and believed in for people who couldn’t give me even a fraction of their time or make me a priority. As I said, time is the only thing that truly matters. Once it’s gone, that’s it. No resets, no do-overs.

We all make mistakes—drinking, drugs, friends or even family who don’t treat us the way we deserve. We’re all guilty of giving the wrong people too many chances. Whether it’s a family member who never makes time for you or a friend who never checks in, these are mistakes because they waste your time—your precious time you’ll never get back.

To put it bluntly, if you died tomorrow, could you honestly say you used your time wisely? Could you say you poured your heart into what you love and cut out the toxic people who drained you?

The little things are the biggest blessings. Waking up each morning. Having a job to go to. Coming home to family. Feeling genuinely happy to be alive. Counting your blessings instead of tallying your complaints.

Only you can decide how you spend your time on this earth. If you don’t love what you do, change it.

If you’re not being treated right, speak up.

If you love something and believe in yourself, chase it.

We spend so much of our lives trying to win other people’s approval that we forget whose life we’re really living—our own.

Life will always move forward. When we’re gone, someone else will take our place. So do what you love with the time you have. Love the ones who love you, and let go of those who don’t.

Thank you for reading, and if you take anything from this, let it be this: start living your life—today.

Look out for my next blog,

Chloe x
