Reflection has a way of reminding us of the real blessings in life, doesnāt it?
So for todayās blog, Iām sharing a little piece of my life⦠again.
Lately, itās truly hit me: we only get one life. One chance to become the best version of ourselves. You will never be as young as you are right now, and nothing is more valuable than time.
You might get married three times, but if that third person is the one who lifts you up and stands by you through everything, why waste energy dwelling on the first two? You donāt have time for that.
In trying to help others, we sometimes lose sight of ourselves. Iāve always been told to put myself first, yet Iāve rarely managed to do it. When I look back, I can see all the moments where I didnāt choose myselfāthe times I gave up things I loved and believed in for people who couldnāt give me even a fraction of their time or make me a priority. As I said, time is the only thing that truly matters. Once itās gone, thatās it. No resets, no do-overs.
We all make mistakesādrinking, drugs, friends or even family who donāt treat us the way we deserve. Weāre all guilty of giving the wrong people too many chances. Whether itās a family member who never makes time for you or a friend who never checks in, these are mistakes because they waste your timeāyour precious time youāll never get back.
To put it bluntly, if you died tomorrow, could you honestly say you used your time wisely? Could you say you poured your heart into what you love and cut out the toxic people who drained you?
The little things are the biggest blessings. Waking up each morning. Having a job to go to. Coming home to family. Feeling genuinely happy to be alive. Counting your blessings instead of tallying your complaints.
Only you can decide how you spend your time on this earth. If you donāt love what you do, change it.
If youāre not being treated right, speak up.
If you love something and believe in yourself, chase it.
We spend so much of our lives trying to win other peopleās approval that we forget whose life weāre really livingāour own.
Life will always move forward. When weāre gone, someone else will take our place. So do what you love with the time you have. Love the ones who love you, and let go of those who donāt.
Thank you for reading, and if you take anything from this, let it be this: start living your lifeātoday.
Look out for my next blog,
Chloe x
