👋🏼 Goodbye 2022! 👋🏼

Welcome back to my blog. I can't believe we're already in 2023, where has the time gone?

2022 has not only flown by physically, but it has been really draining mentally too.

The start of 2022 wasn't great for me, starting to do my driving lessons again but got too poorly with my pcos and had to give up. I was in a job that I hated, every single day I was sick just with the thought of facing the day. I had serious anxiety and depression, sometimes not wanting to get out of bed and sleeping a LOT.

By the time May came around I was in a job that I loved, I trained so hard to complete my care training and really started getting my life back on track.

I researched what vitamins were best for pcos and tried to take them daily to balance my hormones and help manage my pcos as the doctors did not want to know or help me.

With chronic illnesses you have your high days and you have your low days, mine were usually very high days and very low days. Some days I would do my workouts and take my vitamins and feel amazing, others I would just stay in bed and cry and constantly feel rubbish about myself and my life.

This year I have struggled with my PCOS so much, bleeding, pain, fatigue, tiredness and so much more. I used to feel ashamed of talking about pcos, I felt so embarrassed and upset that I had it. I love talking about it now, to spread awareness and help others by sharing the things that have helped me to control my symptoms!

I have found the best way to control my symptoms is taking vitamins.

The vitamins I currently take are:

  • Vitamin D

  • Omega 3

  • Hormone balance

  • Vitamin B12

  • Magnesium

  • Zinc

These are just a few that I take daily. PCOS can cause deficiencies in most areas and due to being undiagnosed for a long time my body has become extremely deficient. I take a slow release metformin due to the deficiency in insulin and iron tablets too.

Trying to remember to take medication everyday has been a struggle however my symptoms improve massively when I take them!

I have learnt to rely on myself for happiness this year. After dealing with a lot of heartache in 2022 I have made it my mission to put myself first. To remove negativity, read daily and listen to podcasts.

I am so grateful that I'm going into 2023 with my family and friends, being independent and controlling my PCOS as much as possible.

I'm so excited to see what 2023 has to bring! This year my mission is to get back into the boxing gym and get my fitness back, follow my journey through my blogs.

Keep your eyes peeled for my next blog.
