Hello and welcome back to my blog.
I've been drafting blogs for 4 months and I haven't had chance to finish any of them!
I think this will have to be another catch up blog! Thank you to everyone who's checked on me, I am still here I'm just trying to juggle life and unfortunately my blog hasn't been a priority just recently.
The past 4 months have been crazy, I genuinely don't know where to start. From myself having operations and infections to my father going into hospital for a week and me having to look after my sisters, we've managed to come out the other side.
Thank the lord.
I've been up to all sorts of different things in the past few months, completing training for my job and doing the care certificate to doing an online boxing coaching course. It really has been full on.
I had so many ideas about topics to talk about and I just haven't had a chance to finish them - they'll be worth the wait!
I've been really poorly with covid AGAIN. A couple of weeks ago I tested positive and it really took a toll on me, I lost a weeks pay so I not only got poorly but also worried about money. This is the second time my family have had it, luckily when we got it last year in my previous job I could work from home.
I am just glad that I am in a job now that I love! My mental health has improved no end and I can genuinely say that I enjoy waking up and going to work every single day, I may have to do 15 hour shifts but I suppose it can't all be flowers and rainbows.😂
The past few months I've really focused on me and my family. Self care has been a massive priority for me and I never realised how important it truly was.
I started my new job in May which is in care. For those who have worked or work in care/supported living will understand it is very long hours and it can be very very draining. I'm so lucky to work with lovely people who have taken me under their wing and shown me the ropes. (not literally I'm working on going back to boxing 😉). I started by doing some night shifts and some days, this drained me more than anything and I was either sleeping or working. I had no social life and it made me really unwell, I was run down.
I asked to change over to day shifts and it was been the best decision for me. Currently, I work 3 days a week and have a lot more time on my hands. While I've been helping my family, I am excited to do new things in my spare time! It's a big change from working 6 days a week!
Recently, I have been struggling with my PCOS. Sometimes I am on top of it and I feel amazing; other times I could scream the place down. My flare-ups are the worst, and I'm still struggling to lose weight, but I'm making progress!
I think the best part of the last few months had been connecting with old friends. Life just goes on and you sometimes drift apart from friends/family. I've been so lucky to meet up with old friends and stay in contact with them.
I keep promising myself I'll spend more time to do blogs but I really haven't had time at all! I forgot how much I loved writing and I'm going to try and make my blog more of a priority now that I'm finally settled in my new job and routine. I would love to start a weekly catch up blog when I can do keep your eyes peeled for those 👀
Thank you for reading, I promise I will write another blog soon,
Chloe x
